On the authority of Abu Hurayrah, who said that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "The most excellent jihad is that for the conquest of self." (Sahih Bukhari, Book 73, Hadith 127)

"The best of deeds is the belief in Allah and His Messenger, the performance of the prescribed prayers, and the giving of charity to the poor." (Sahih Bukhari, Book 8, Hadith 76)

"The most beloved of people to Allah is he who brings most benefit, and the most beloved of deeds to Allah is to make a Muslim happy, or to remove one of his troubles, or to forgive his debt, or to feed his hunger." (Sahih Bukhari, Book 3, Hadith 15)

Abu Hurayrah, who said that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Whosoever removes a worldly hardship from a believer, Allah will remove from him one of the hardships of the Day of Resurrection. Whosoever alleviates the need of a needy person, Allah will alleviate his needs in this world and the hereafter. Whosoever covers (the faults of) a Muslim, Allah will cover (his faults) in this world and the hereafter." (Sahih Bukhari, Book 3, Hadith 16)

the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "The best of companions with Allah is the one who is best to his companion, and the best of neighbors to Allah is the one who is the best of them to his neighbor." (Sahih Bukhari, Book 8, Hadith 73)
